New Software Products in Emergent Analytics Suite

Revelytix, Inc announces availability of Spyder, Spinner®, and Rex®.  These tools complement Knoodl® as part the Revelytix Distributed Information Management System^TM (DIMS), a suite of software. DIMS is revolutionizing the way enterprises manage information. Based on the RDF, OWL, RIF, and SPARQL standards from the W3C, these tools enable a change in data management architecture of the scale that relational databases had in the mid 1980's.

Spyder is a software tool that makes relational data available as RDF via SPARQL endpoints. Spinner is a tool that implements the federation capabilities provided by the SPARQL 1.1 specification  to enable querying of any collection of SPARQL endpoints using semantics described in any OWL ontology as if all of the endpoints are all in a single graph. Rex is a rules engine that will execute any rules written using a Rules Interchange Format (RIF) dialect. RIF is a powerful addition to the semantic technology stack from W3C because it enables rules to be written using descriptions available in OWL ontologies.

The collection of SPARQL endpoints made available by Spyders, both within and outside of an enterprise, comprise an Enterprise Information Web (EIW). Emergent Analytic capability is made real through the application of OWL ontologies, RIF rules and SPARQL queries to the contents of the EIW.

knoodl.com, a free, web based, collaborative, community-oriented OWL/RDF editing tool that has been provided operational since 2007. Ontologies built using knoodl.com or any other OWL editing tool can be used within your EIW to combine enterprise business knowledge with enterprise data assets to power new understanding of your enterprise, customers, partners and strategies.

Spyder  is available now via download from our web site http://www.revelytix.com. Spinner and Rex will be available as “Early Availability” (EA) software products by the end of June. Anyone interested in the EA releases of Spinner and Rex should sign up on the web site.
