Revelytix wins NYC BigApps award
We're very proud to announce that NYC Data Web, Revelytix's entry in the NYC BigApps 2.0 contest, has won the contest's Large Organization Recognition Award. It's notable that NYC Data Web is fully ontology-driven: this is an early stage in the full realization of a model-driven approach to enterprise information.
We'd like to offer our congratulations to all the other BigApps winners. And a big thanks to our partner companies in this project - TCG Software, SkyTECH Solutions, and Spry, Inc. - for their help and hard work.
Michael Lang, CEO and Founder, offered the following perspective upon receiving the award:
"Revelytix is proud to have been awarded the Large Organization Category, where we competed with entries from companies like Accenture. The competition's objective for the city was to attract submissions that would help solve the challenge of information transparency and sharing information with the citizenry. I feel like the information management space has turned a corner with this recognition, as it's completely driven by ontologies, the foundation of semantic technology. This solution was developed in six weeks without writing any code. We used our software components Knoodl.com, Spyder and Federator as well as Google Refine and open source dashboards for visualization."
