History

Revelytix was established in 2005 to employ semantic technology to the problems that continue to limit interoperability and reuse of information and services. We chose a collaborative approach that would constructively bridge the skill sets and knowledge gap between business and IT professionals. Our objective is to facilitate the development of a knowledgebase that would become an information asset for the enterprise for years to come.

The DNA of our company combines development expertise in semantic database architecture, neural networks, intelligent systems, data integration and information management. The company is led by seasoned management who have experience navigating startups from conceptual ideas to the full realization of the business plan.

MatchIT was released in 2006 as the first automated semantic matching tool. MatchIT allows end users to use Wordnet(TM) or their own knowledgebases to build the semantic Match sets. Since it's release, the product has been licensed by MetaMatrix (purchased by Redhat 2007) and BEA (purchased by Oracle 2007). MatchIT is used within the Revelytix product suite to accelerate the deployment of seed vocabularies into Knoodl.

Knoodl was released in January of 2007. It was the first and remains the only thin client semantic application development and collaboration platform. By combining a fully featured modeling tool with simplified template interfaces, Knoodl is bridging the gap between IT professionals, business analysts, subject matter experts and other non-modeling professionals by providing a facility that accommodates all participants. Through the collaboration effort, all participants reach a consensus on relationships and terms which are stored in a knowledgebase for future reference. The knowledgebase can be searched or queried achieving information transparency and unprecedented opportunities for efficiency.
