Management Team
Greg Milbank, President, Co-founder
Mr. Milbank began his career in the information systems industry in 1985 as Regional Manager for Market Information, Inc., one of the early pioneers of real-time market information and technical analysis software. He was recruited to Reuters Information Systems, where he held a number of sales management positions over a 12 year career. His notable achievements include forming the Reuters' first software and data integration consulting practice, The Open Systems Group, growing the practice from $20 million to $80 million in it's first two years. He was then promoted to VP, Strategic Management Team. His responsibilities included identifying potential acquisition targets and assisting in the integration of the acquired firms into the core business units. Most notable of these was Reuters' $110 million acquisition of Quotron Systems from CitiGroup in 1995.
Mr. Milbank left Reuters in 1997 to join his first start up, Aether Systems, as VP, Sales. Aether's IPO in 1999 was the largest in NASDQ's history at the time. He joined MetaMatrix in 2000 where he became an investor, also serving as SVP, Sales & Business Development. MetaMatrix was a first mover in a middleware marketplace now commonly referred to as Enterprise Information Integration (EII). As the company matured, he led the company's effort to establish a market for the software in the federal government. Government became the primary revenue stream for the company over the next five years. MetaMatrix was sold to Redhat in April of 2007.
Mr Milbank co-founded Revelytix with Mr. Lang in February of 2005, leading the investment round with a group of private investors. In 2007 Mr. Milbank joined Revelytix as EVP, Marketing and Business Development and was appointed President in June of that year.
Mr. Milbank is a member of the Board of Regents at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, CT., where he also serves as a board member Center for Christian Jewish Understanding.
Jim Irwin, SVP Software Development
Prior to joining Revelytix, Jim was partner and developer of Smart Spyders, a product and tool for robotically navigating the World Wide Web and interacting with and acquiring data from web sites. From 2000 to 2004, he was a senior developer with PHH Arval where he designed and developed interactive intranet and extranet web applications using EAI message-based integration, federated databases, and J2EE service-based architectures.
From 1994 to 2000 he was software architect for Neuristics Corporation where he designed and led the development of interactive neural network and artificial intelligence tools for data mining and predictive modeling. In that position he created the computing infrastructure of the company and its products, including distributed computing systems for processing large datasets, servers for robotic control of and remote access to storage media, and desktop GUI tools for data visualizaiton, exploration, and model building.
Prior to joining Neuristics, he was the Director of Software Development for Genesys Information Systems where he managed the product design and development of client-server document imaging systems, including desktop GUI document query and retrieval software, production scanning and indexing software, and the robotic optical media servers and index databases.
